From Innovation to Industry
Most of you have followed McKinstry’s meteoric rise from a residential plumbing contractor founded in 1960 by George Allen and Merrill McKinstry to one of the top specialty contractors in the country. In addition to being a mechanical contractor, the company also provides design/build, facilities management, project management, and maintenance services.
Recently, McKinstry opened the 24,000sf Innovation Center on its campus in South Seattle. The unique facility was created to attract a variety of clean, green energy technologies. Tenant size can range from a single person office to as large as a 3,000sf suite. The goal is to foster creation of new technologies and products that eliminate energy waste in the built environment. By housing these companies in a single facility and offering business related amenities and services, these innovative entrepreneurs experience a synergy not typically found in commercial buildings.
Come tour the McKinstry Innovation Center and experience:
- Tour of a space which serves as a “commercialization accelerator” for clean-tech and energy-related companies
