May 16, 2017 Luncheon

The Washington Athletic Club was the site of the May lunch which featured Janna Wandzilak from Delos and Allison Kim from Cushman & Wakefield leading an in-depth discussion about the WELL Building Standard, and their experience managing WELL projects, featuring case studies.

April 18 Luncheon and Workshop

CoreNet Global's Vik Bangia presented on trends in real estate followed by an interactive workshop on personal branding and storytelling. The event was well received. Handouts and slides will be published to the library.

New Member Happy Hour

A small, but enthusiastic crowd, met on March 30th at TanakaSan to learn about how to get involved with CoreNet Washington State Chapter.

Participants attended a sold out lunch at a new venue, Washington Athletic Club, to hear about how neuroscience can influence workplace trends.

Bake's Place provided the venue for a frank discussion with of some of CRE's up and coming young leaders. The 2017 Runstad Center scholarship recipients were also announced.

2016 CoreNet Washington Chapter Holiday Party

The new offices of JLL located on the 28th Floor of Two Union looked absolutely magical thanks to Kristal-Lynn Archer! Chef Dane provided spectacular food-- the macaroni and cheese bar was a huge success! Drinks and conversation added to a great night that was capped by the announcement of our annual chapter awards. Be sure to renew or get your membership so you can enjoy this special night in 2017!

November 15 Luncheon Data Analytics and Location Strategy

Representatives from NBBJ and Delta Dental discussed how real estate strategy, moving from one that focuses purely on office locations and amenities, to also account for commute times, cost of living, new transportation options like light rail and healthy food options can be used by various organization in making strategy decisions. Lovely views from the Columbia Tower enhanced this exciting presentation.

October 25 Luncheon Features Governor Christine Gregoire

The October 25, 2016 Luncheon was held at a new location, 415 Westlake, and featured the former governor discussing the new Challenge Seattle initiative.  For more information on Challenge Seattle, visit their website www.challengeseattle.com.

September 20 Luncheon Discussed VR in Bellevue

The September 20, 2016 Luncheon provided attendees with an interesting panel discussion on Virtual Reality while enjoying a delicious lunch at Bake's Place in Bellevue.

 

Engage Happy Hour Provided A Great Opportunity to Network

The Engage Happy Hour on August 30th hosted by Unispace provided a great networking opportunity, as well as spectacular views from the 67th floor of the Columbia Tower.

 

REEL 2016 Event Was A Huge Success

About 200 young professionals representing 6 different organizations, including CoreNet, enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the roof-top bar at Sellen Construction. Even though it was a hot August 24th, everyone had a great time.

 

 

2016 CoreNet Washington Chapter Golf Tournament

The morning threatened rain but the afternoon turned into a beautiful day. There were a few other hiccups but as usual everyone had a great time at the annual golf tournament.  A sold out crowd enjoyed a great day of golf at TPC Snoqualmie!

Hole sponsors did a great job with their holes, providing refreshments and games!

After a great round of golf, everyone had a chance to win some great prices and have a great dinner.

June 23 Sustainable Living Presentation Sponsored by Swinerton Builders

On June 23, the Young Leaders hosted a presentation and happy hour by Swinerton Builders on their new modular building platform that incorporates sustainable living and eco-friendly practices.  Participants were also treated to a fun happy hour event to socialize and network. Even though it was a rainy day outside, it was a sunny one inside!

June 20 Exclusive Member-Only Tour of Google's Kirkland Headquarters

Members got a chance to get an exclusive tour of Google's Kirkland headquarters on a beautiful summer day. Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed on the tour. However, after the tour, members got a chance to enjoy a great spread of drinks and food sponsored by DLR on Google's beautiful patio overlooking Lake Washington.  The weather and company made for a great afternoon!

June 3 New Member Breakfast 

New members got a chance to interact with current members at the new member breakfast held June 3 at the Columbia Tower Club.  Participants were provided with information on how to get involved and make the most out of their CoreNet experience while enjoying great food, good company, and a fantastic locale.

May 24th Young Leaders Roundtable! 

Attendees at this event had 15 minutes at each leader’s roundtable to pick their brains about questions involving all aspects of the commercial real estate industry. The roundtable sessions were followed by a happy hour where those in attendance got to hone their networking skills and left lasting impressions on valuable new connections. Held in conjunction with the UW Planning and Real Estate Department, this was a great opportunity for anyone new to the industry!

A Great Time at the May 2016 Luncheon!

Attendees at the May 2016 luncheon, "Knowledge Worker Productivity," learned about metrics used to measure knowledge worker productivity, while enjoying the spectacular views from the Columbia Tower Club.  Jan Johnson, VP of Design and Workplace Resources at Allsteel; Doug Palm, Former Director of Global Facilities at PATH; and Shannon Gaffney, Managing Partner at SkB discussed the six factors with the highest correlation to knowledge worker performance and how they tie to interpersonal relationships.  Following the luncheon, attendees were given the chance to participate in a free, engaging workshop on the topic.
